Cheap Disneyworld

Going to Disneyworld ?

Orlando is the Worlds no 1 Vacation destination for a good reason - Disney World and all the other theme parks..IT is a whole city maily devoted to tourism. But it can be expensive.

There are several ways to save money at Orlando.

One is to stay a little way out (5 to 10 minute drive) at Kissimmi which is a town also devoted to being a hub for cheaper accomodation and restaurants than Orlando or the Disney Resorts. There you will find most chain motels like Holiday Inns and holiday Express and all the other top chains and not a few smaller motels.

Even with all these hotels and motels both Orlando and Kissimmee get full so make sure you have a hotel before you go.

Leving it to the last minute to get a hotel will be expensive. Hotels get very expensive late in the evening. Hoteliers in this area know what their hotel rooms are worth.

You will pay quite a lot less for your accomodation and certainly eat quite well at medium priced restauirants (most of the chain buffet eat all you can and the popular pizza and family restaurants are also there.)

Almost all the hotels have a guest desk that can arrange not only transport to Disneyworld/Epcot and the other theme parks but also discount tickets to most parks. You can buy one day or multple day passes and some of thes are great value.

Eating inside any of the theme parks is quite expensive and you are better off having an all-you -can-eat buffet at one of the family restaurants as you will be full for the day and only need a snack at lunchtime.

I think it is very difficult to enjoy Orlando properly without a car but remember that most of the theme parks do charge for parking (quite a lot in my opinion !) Always remember where you leave your car - write it down ! It is amazing how many cars that look like yours will be in that car park.

Many restaurants have entertainment or displays in the evenings and these are usually reasonably priced. and include a meal.

Don't miss out on the discount shopping mall either - these usually also have a food court with good food at bargain prices.

Almost all the stores in the discount malls give 30% to 70% discounts off retail so they are well worth shopping at.

Larger supermarkets are also around and you can stock up for a day out there- but remember that almost all theme parks forbid you to take food or drink in - they would rather you buy at their restaurants or snack bars.

    Cheapest Deals

The cheapest deals are probably all-inclusive deals that include a two or three day multi-pass.

Disney tends to promote a longer pass and many people buy this because it is cheaper. However lots of people do not use the last day so be sure you really need it - for a typical family that could cost $120 or more in a ticket you might not use for years.
